Why Plan Ahead For A Getaway With Your Spouse?
Planning ahead can be a bit unusual in the Airbnb world, but it is useful. In the day of quick stops and drive-thrus, there are still good reasons to plan ahead. (First of all, our cottage is not an Airbnb)
Any way - back to planning. Here’s why: It has been said that about 1/3 of the joy of an event is planning and anticipation, about 1/3 is experiencing it, and the remaining 1/3 is the memories.
There’s another reason or two you should consider when planning a special getaway. What is that? I’m glad you asked!
The first and most important reason is that it shows that you are thinking about and willing to invest time in the future of your marriage relationship.
Maybe you just need a few brownie points? Are you the “keeper of the flame” in your marriage? Then just do it. Plan it. Be the one that initiates. Are you the one who normally lets your spouse do the planning? Well, … it’s time to surprise them. Surprise them with a plan.
The second reason (but not the best one), is that you can do it at a discount. For a limited time (till Jan 31) we will offer you any available date (that's booked and paid for) in the future at 10% off. Now that is enough of a reason to celebrate!!
But if you love loving on your spouse and enjoy loving on your marriage, invest more time in it. Ok, I know being spontaneous is a romantic thought, but for most of us, that's where it stops. A thought? You know, it’s kinda like the “actions speak louder than words” saying. We could debate that perhaps, but suffice it to say planning does add to your getaway and to the enjoyment of your time together because anticipation is a real thing.
We have a special offer for new subscribers and those who were never here as guests yet:

Please see our policy as follows:
“This cottage is reserved for truly married couples. We feel privileged to honor what we believe to be God’s definition of marriage. We define true marriage as ‘one woman for one man for life’ precluding same-sex and unmarried relationships and also those who are divorced (for any reason) and remarried with a former living spouse.”
Things were pretty quiet at the Little Stone Cottage in the latter part of November and beginning of December, but now that Christmas is past and the winter sets in? Well, it follows a predictable pattern. Most people and couples can only think effectively about one thing at a time. But even if you are thinking about it, it’s time for that special getaway, isn’t it?
So now you may be thinking: “Why should it be at The Little Stone Cottage?”
I was asked a question about what is included and why a couple should come here to the Little Stone Cottage rather than a cheaper place?” That's a really good and legitimate question if you are planning a getaway to “wow” your spouse. Those of you that were here could explain quite easily, but this was my answer based on our reviews:
People come for different reasons. It so much depends on what people are looking for in planning a getaway from the rat race.
Some want quiet-time to finish conversations. Some just want to go to a different place. Some enjoy the hot tub. Some enjoy the mood lighting and the shower for two in the bedroom with a king-sized bed! Others enjoy the massage table and the beauty of shared touch in the cozy basement by the fireplace beside the trickling fountain in the winter.
Others enjoy the notebooks with games, questions, and articles on marital intimacy to discuss and enjoy. In the summer, people enjoy the hammock on the patio and the peace and serenity and pretty flowers.
Others just rave about the farm fresh food, like the organic raw milk, grass-fed eggs, granola and grape-nuts, and the loaf of homemade bread. Some rave about the big comfortable bed. And some really enjoy the marriage-building reading material on the bookshelf. A recent guestbook entry said it well: “The music, the library, the hammock, the detail, the farm treats, the personality - all cultivate intense intimacy!!”
I also told the questioner that “Some places we know you could choose will have one or two of the above. At the Little Stone Cottage, you have all of the above! We honestly do not know of another place that has all these marriage-building things in one place. Many of you that were here have told us, “This place tops them all.”
That is one of the many reasons we highly recommend it to you and your spouse. We believe that a marriage is worth the extras for celebrating that “intense intimacy” as the guestbook entry put it. It is something couples dream about. Sometimes it's worth all the resources you can muster and a little planning to boot.
By the way, salt and pepper toilet paper, towels, coffee, tea, and much more are included as well - so packing for a stay here is greatly reduced.
If you still have questions, read the pics of the guestbook entry’s below.
Please let us know how we can serve you further. We do surprises but anticipation and planning is even better. The Little Stone Cottage facilitates true celebration, and a little planning goes a long way.
I prefer a text (you can also call) at 717-278-1070 or email me at roman@thelittlestonecottage.com. Please identify yourself and mention the winter discount on your text or email and I will get right back to you.
